SCORE Bucks County is offering six free webinars in March in an effort to keep the local business community informed.
“Health Insurance for Small Businesses” takes place March 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This webinar provides participants with insight in health insurance options available to small businesses and their employees. Led by Ron Hyman, owner of Insurance Shops and licensed insurance agent, the session covers the following topics: what types of plans are best from a cost and tax benefit perspective; what is the Affordable Care Act and what are the requirements and fines for non-compliance; how to get started offering benefit packages; who pays for the benefits offered.
“The Mindset of a Successful Business Owner” takes place March 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Led by Patrick Donohue, a franchise consultant, career transition expert and business coach, the webinar provides crucial information to help entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed. Topics include: the five levels of business ownership; the four types of intelligence for business ownership success; why a franchise succeeds; wealth building.
“Email Marketing Quickstart” takes place March 10, from 11 a.m. to noon. The session, offered by SCORE in conjunction with Constant Contact, provides an overview of email marketing, as well as best practices. The webinar shares insight on: why email marketing must be part of your marketing strategy; how to grow your email list; email writing tips; designing your call to action.
“Win Customers With Your Website” takes place March 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The webinar is led by Jessica Baldwin, co-founder of Cardsetter, a website platform with custom design and setup included. Topics include: how to set up a website to win over customers; the critical role your website plays in your online marketing strategy; the features and tools needed to execute a plan.
“When is the Right Time to Plan for Retirement?” takes place March 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Led by Katrina Boyer, who has served the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities since 2004, focuses on retirement planning. Topics include: retirement planning for small business owners; two different retirement strategies to consider; different plans that may be available, including types of accounts and annual maximum contribution limits.
“IRS: What You Need to Know as a Small Business” takes place March 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Leslie Chambers, a senior stakeholder liaison with the Internal Revenue Service, provides insight to help small businesses understand and meet their tax responsibilities. Learn about: small business tax – how to navigate federal taxes; IRS resources for small business; tax mistakes to avoid.
