“What Are Hops?” is the featured program of the Trevose Horticultural Society’s next monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
Meredith Megan Rebar, owner of Home Brewed Events, will share her knowledge on how to grow hops. She will also explain the fermentation process in brewing beer and other fermented beverages. Samples of potted plants for show and tell may be provided.
Rebar began her career managing and producing special events and concerts at the Abbey Bar as part of the Appalachian Brewing Company in Harrisburg. She has a passion for brewing and creating unique and specialized events around beer and enjoys sharing her experiences and knowledge. She also chairs the Philly Loves Beer Education Committee and is a founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Pink Boots Society.
