The TMA Bucks Foundation announced that it has become a partner of Safe Kids Pennsylvania, part of Safe Kids Worldwide’s global network dedicated to keeping kids safe from preventable childhood injury, which is the No. 1 cause of death among children ages 1 to 19. These injuries range from accidental falls, poisonings, car crashes, drowning and more.
Safe Kids Pennsylvania promotes and supports childhood injury prevention activities through education, collaboration and advocacy throughout Pennsylvania.
The TMA Bucks Foundation already partners with TMA Bucks and its management of the Bucks County Community Traffic Safety Program, which is federal funding (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) distributed to local programs by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and works with law enforcement, local businesses, schools and the community to reduce the number of annual highway deaths in Bucks County.
“We are so excited to work with Safe Kids Pennsylvania and keep promoting safe habits for parents and children throughout Bucks County,” said TMA Bucks executive director Stephen Noll.
Safe Kids Pennsylvania will help the TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program by providing marketing materials and volunteer support with special events and promotions. There will also be possible grant opportunities available for the TMA Bucks Foundation to pursue as a Safe Kids partner.
