New Hope Celebrates is hosting its 2022 PrideFest on May 20-22 in-person.
The only Pride Parade to cross state lines kicks off in Lambertville, New Jersey on Saturday, May 21 and continues over the Delaware River into New Hope, displaying New Hope Celebrates’ 100-foot Equality Flag in eight colors. With an annual attendance of over 15,000 and 700 participants, New Hope Celebrates brings back “Dancing in the Streets” while celebrating diversity and inclusiveness.
Whether you are marching, in a vehicle or on a float, the parade is open to everyone. Registration and application information can be found here.
After the parade, guests are invited to the Pride Fair in the Legion parking lot on the corner of New St. and South Main St. from noon to 5 p.m. With live entertainment and DJ, cash bar and a wide array of vendors featuring crafts, jewelry and clothing, information from local LGBTQ+ organizations, samples and giveaways, it’s the perfect culmination of PrideFest. There is a suggested $5 entrance fee, with proceeds benefiting New Hope Celebrates and future Pride events.
Pride Fair Vendors can find an application here.
If you plan to make a reservation to stay or just join in for the day, there will be a week-long celebration of educational events and festivities, including the annual New Hope Celebrates’ Cocktail Contest. Visit newhopecelebrates.com for more information.
