Bristol Fire Co., Bucks County Rescue Squad and more received funding

State Rep. John Galloway announced that the fire and emergency medical services companies in the 140th District have been awarded $137,173 through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program.

“Our fire and EMS companies have bravely seen us through the pandemic, risking their lives to save ours,” Galloway said. “They have gone above and beyond to provide essential and lifesaving services to our communities despite challenging financial circumstances. I am very glad that our fire and EMS companies will receive the funding they need during this critical time.”

The fire and EMS companies in the 140th District that have been awarded grants in the following amounts are Bristol Fire Co. [$15,000], Bristol Consolidated Volunteer Fire Co. [$12,074], Bristol Volunteer CPNY No. 6 [$15,000], Bucks County Rescue Squad [$7,292], Edgely Fire Co. No. 1 [$15,000], Fairless Hills Volunteer Fire Co. [$15,000], Goodwill Hose Co. #3 [$12,807], Levittown Fire Co. No. 2 [$15,000], Levittown Fire Co. No. 1 [$15,000] and Third District Fire Co. [$15,000].

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program is administered by the Office of State Fire Commissioner and makes an annual grant program available for volunteer and career fire companies, emergency medical services and rescue squads.

All fire companies, emergency medical services and volunteer rescue squads are eligible to apply for this annual grant program.
