Summer Camp Open House takes place Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants have the opportunity to meet staff, ask questions and get to know SLNC. Free. Register online or by phone.
Earthship Tours takes place Saturday, Feb. 12, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Free. Stop by to visit and learn about these interesting, sustainable structures. Register online or by phone.
Guided Walk on the SLNC Trails takes place Sunday, Feb. 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. Free. Join certified Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Patricia Merkel for this leisurely, informative walk covering seasonal topics. Register online or by phone.
Maple Syrup Time takes place Saturday, Feb. 19, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Learn the basic steps of how trees are tapped for their sap so that it can be turned into delicious syrup. Help in the process of making this wonderful delight and taste some samples too. Cost is $5 per person for Friends of SLNC Members; $8 per person for nonmembers. Register online or by phone.
Bird Seed Sale Pick-up (for orders placed by Feb. 12) takes place Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bird watching is more fun when you can attract them to your own yard, so fill your feeders with one of SLNC’s special mixes. Friends of SLNC Members receive a 10 percent discount on all bird seed orders. Orders can be placed online or by phone.
Bristol Photographers Club 48th Annual Photo Contest Awards Ceremony takes place Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. For information and registration, contact Heather Baker, president, at [email protected] or visit bristolphotographersclub.com.
Day-off from School Camp takes place Monday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Camp days are scheduled for when most schools are off. Each day provides seasonal adventures for children ages 5-14. Staff and campers spend the day exploring the forest, swamps and marsh in all weather. Cost is $65/child per day for Friends of SLNC Members; $80/child per day for nonmembers. Full payment is required at time of registration. Register online.
Registration for SLNC’s Summer Nature Camp is open and filling up quickly. This day camp for 5-14 year olds runs from Monday, June 20 through Friday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with before and after care options available. All 10 weeks sold out in 2021, so those interested are urged to sign up soon. More information and registration is available online.
Trails are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
SLNC Visitors’ Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m.
