Middletown Township welcomes two new supervisors

Dana Kane and Bernadette Hannah have joined the board

The Middletown Township board of supervisors welcomed two new members – Dana Kane and Bernadette Hannah. Both were sworn in for six-year terms at the annual Reorganization Meeting and expressed excitement to be serving the residents of the township.

Kane boasts a BS in mathematics and economics from Drexel University. She serves as an actuary with Accolade and lives in Langhorne with her husband Michael, three children Carlyn, Alexander and Sean, and black lab Libby. She said, “I look forward to serving the community and keeping Middletown as great as it is.”

Hannah has a BS in special education and teaching from Temple University and two masters degrees in educational leadership and administration and education reading specialist from Cabrini and Holy Family University. She is currently the assistant principal in the Bristol Township School District. She said, “I would like to thank my family, especially my two daughters, for their support. They know it is important to serve your community and that is what I want to do.”

Additionally, Mike Ksiazek was elected chairperson; Anna Payne was elected vice chair; and Dawn Quirple was elected secretary. Numerous township residents were appointed to serve on volunteer boards and commissions.

Ksiazek told Kane and Hannah, “I am honored to serve with the two of you and am excited to see the great things you will both do.”
