TMA Bucks educates Newtown business community to help reduce pedestrian crashes

Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Mannon was a guest at the recent meeting of the Newtown Business Association

TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Mannon recently attended the Newtown Business Association’s January meeting at The Newtown Theatre to educate and discuss how the business community can help to reduce the pedestrian crashes and fatalities in the Newtown area.

Mannon was invited by the Newtown Township Police Department Chief of Police John Hearn to attend the meeting to help get the word out to businesses and the community that everyone plays a part in keeping pedestrian crashes from not happening. Mannon talked about the importance of business owners and their employees setting good examples and following the law when they are a pedestrian in the community, as well as a motorist.
