SCORE Bucks County is offering four free 90-minute webinars in February in an effort to keep the local business community informed.
The first, “Are You Ready to be an Entrepreneur?,” takes place Feb. 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This webinar provides participants with a better understanding of having, growing and managing a business. Led by SCORE Bucks County certified mentor Vicki Brown, owner of Harmony Clean, the session provides more insight on business ownership. Topics to be discussed include: how entrepreneurs can learn from their mistakes; how to be an expert in your field; and how to be a multi-tasker.
On Feb. 8, SCORE offers “Setting Your Business Priority – Building a Winning Sales Culture,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Led by Anday Asava, who has directed strategic high-growth global initiatives across telecommunications, cybersecurity and automation market segments over the last 30 years, the webinar provides start-up businesses with guidance on how to do proper sales forecasts. Asava is set to cover the following topics: how to build your sales team and understand sales personas; how to build repeatable sales processes; and how to manage sales forecasting.
On Feb. 15, SCORE offers “Introduction to Commercial Real Estate,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The session provides insight on the basics of commercial real estate, including the differences in commercial real estate and commercial leases. Attendees can gain a better understanding of: financing; purchasing; leasing options; and investments.
On Feb. 22, SCORE presents “Avoiding Scams for Small Business Owners,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The webinar outlines scams that small business owners and entrepreneurs need to be aware of. Attendees can learn more about: various types of fraud and scams; counterfeit checks, wire transfers and gift card scams; what a small business needs to do if it becomes a victim of a fraud or scam; and how educating customers about scams helps businesses and promotes goodwill in the community they serve.
