Nominations being accepted for annual Autism Caring Excellence Award

The deadline to nominate educators, speech therapists and others who help people with autism reach their full potential is Feb. 1

Potential Inc., which has served hundreds of individuals with autism and developmental disabilities since 2006, is accepting nominations for its annual Autism Caring Excellence Award. Launched in 2019, this award recognizes local heroes who are helping people with autism reach their full potential and beyond.

“We launched the ACE Award program to celebrate those people who are doing exemplary work and to show others who are thinking about going into this field just how personally rewarding it is,” said Kristine Quinby, founder, president and CEO of Potential Inc. and its Springtime School.

Parents, caregivers and community members can nominate educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behaviorists and aides who live or work in Bucks, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties, or Mercer or Hunterdon counties in New Jersey.

“The more we can provide positive reinforcement to the highly qualified individuals in this field, the more likely they are to stay in it,” said Quinby. “This means a greater benefit to all our families and the community.”

Nominations are being accepted through Feb. 1. The winner of the 2022 ACE Award will be announced at Potential’s annual gala on March 12. Click here to nominate your local hero.
