TMA Bucks staff stopped by Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township earlier this month for a transportation and traffic safety fair for hospital employees.
TMA project coordinators assisted hospital staff with various commute options for getting to work. Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Share-A-Ride sign ups were available, along with SEPTA schedules and information. Share-A-Ride is a free, computerized service that can match commuters who work in the same area with convenient transit service, potential carpool and vanpool groups, and even walking and bicycling opportunities.
Winter driving safety tips were also distributed to employees from the TMA’s Community Traffic Safety Program. Most hospital employees have to drive to work no matter what winter weather comes to the area, so these safety tips serve as great reminders to navigate the roads safely.
