The Middletown Township board of supervisors voted Monday, Nov. 15, to preliminarily approve the 2022 budget and advertise it for public inspection. The proposed plan includes a balanced General Fund with no proposed tax increase.

The board of supervisors is scheduled to adopt the final 2022 budget on Monday, Dec. 6.

The overall 2022 budget is balanced and includes $39,100,325 in operational expenditures with $24,000,000 allocated from the General Fund. There are $8,300,000 in capital improvements planned for 2022.

The supervisors said the budget takes into consideration the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on township finances over the past 20 months. The budget was prepared in accordance with the Government Finance Officers Association criteria to be considered for this award for what will be the fourth consecutive year.

The 2022 budget is available at the Municipal Center and online here.
