Join Fallsington Friends Meeting, Force For Good Music and Films and Citizens’ Climate Lobby for a free interactive screening and discussion on climate change and subsequent positive actions on Dec. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fallsington Meetinghouse, 9300 New Falls Road, Levittown. This event will also be live via Zoom. To obtain the link or sign up for the in-person event, register on Eventbrite. All guests are required to register in advance and wear masks to this event.

The evening features a screening of the award-winning Force For Good short music films Ice and Solar, followed by discussions about climate change and how residents can take action, with Tom Wells from Fallsington Friends, Bill Mettler from Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and Jonathan Sprout and Rodney Whittenberg from Force For Good Music.

In addition, a 30-minute talk by distinguished atmospheric scientist Katharine Hayhoe, entitled “Finding Hope in Combating Climate Change,” will be shown. Hayhoe is a professor of political science and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University. She’s considered one of the top 100 most influential people by Time Magazine, and a UN Champion of the Environment. She recently published the book Saving Us.

Attendees will be invited to participate in a positive action step on combating climate change following Hayhoe’s talk. Light refreshments will be served.
