Family Service Association of Bucks County recently hosted its 22nd annual Drive for Youth Golf Outing at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope. Though it was a rainy day, 111 golfers spent a day on the links, raising more than $84,500 to support the vital health and human service programs that are provided to the community by Family Service.

In addition to being the most successful golf outing in the organization’s history, the fundraiser honored its youngest supporter, 10-year-old Bensalem resident Grace McCarthy. Over the past year, this Girl Scout led several charitable initiatives that made a tremendous difference in the lives of many local children and families in need. She was presented with the Susan N. Altomari Champion for Youth Award by Family Service CEO Julie Dees.

“Grace’s care for others, and her determination to help, has inspired all of us at Family Service,” said Dees. “Thank you, Grace, for making a lasting, positive impact on those we serve.”

The tournament was sponsored by NFP Executive Benefits, LLC. Those in attendance enjoyed lunch, several in-game contests, a raffle and silent auction. The evening program featured cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Awards were announced by Family Service board member Frank Sullivan, Esq. and NFP vice president, business development Brian Rodgers.
