Concerts at Cairn University

Enjoy shows by the Wind Ensemble and pianist Alexei Tartakovsky

Cairn University, 200 Manor Ave. in Langhorne, recently announced two upcoming concerts:

Fire and Water: Cairn University Wind Ensemble Concert

Fire and water are simultaneously essential to human survival and potentially destructive, and they are frequently mentioned in Scripture in reference to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. These elements are also represented in various sonic tones and genres of music. Join the Cairn Wind Ensemble on Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Chatlos Chapel, for a musical exploration of these powerful forces. Cost is $10.

Alexei Tartakovsky Guest Recital

On Monday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Chatlos Chapel, pianist Alexei Tartakovsky will be at Cairn to perform a free recital. He will present Beethoven’s epic Sonata Op. 106, The Hammerklavier, as well as other works by Beethoven and Liszt.

Tickets for both shows are available at cairn.edu/tickets
