Dr. Nicole Bourque has been appointed to the position of 11th grade assistant principal at Bensalem High School. The Bensalem Township board of school directors approved her appointment at its Aug. 25 meeting, and she joined the team on Oct. 26.
Bourque has been an educator for 18 years, serving as assistant principal in the School District of Philadelphia since 2018. Previously in the Southeast Delco School District, she was a teacher leader and principal intern. Bourque is also an instructor at Holy Family University.
Bourque earned a bachelor of science in elementary and special education, her master of science in education, and her doctor of education, educational leadership at St. Joseph’s University.
“I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Bensalem High School team and support our mission for all students to feel valued, successful and respected,” said Bourque. “As a resident with children attending school in the Bensalem Township School District, I am honored to serve our community in this role.”
Her professional memberships include: Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Keystone State Reading Association and International Reading Association.
