Southampton Free Library, 947 Street Road, invites the public to celebrate its 100th anniversary this week. From Nov. 1-6, the library is offering daily giveaways, chances to win various raffle prizes, scavenger hunts and unique programs.
There will be a different giveaway each day. They include mini fidget pop-its, soft pretzels, dinosaur eggs and 100th anniversary mugs. Giveaways are available first-come, first-served, while supplies last and one per person.
The library will raffle off up to 13 individual and unique prizes, which include a Kindle Fire, Scullcandy wireless earbuds, Lego Star Wars kit and other items. Entries to the raffles can be earned by sharing a memory of the library, completing a scavenger hunt about the history of the library, or making a donation to the library’s food drive.
Several in-person programs will be held during the week, including storytimes, a Diwali celebration and a painting with spices program. Check the online calendar for details and to register as space is limited.
