COVID-19 cases slightly decline in Bucks

Infections decreased by 13 from Oct. 8-14 compared to the previous week

Bucks County recorded 833 new COVID-19 cases between Oct. 8-14, a decrease of 13 cases compared to the previous week. The county’s seven-day average also decreased from the previous week to 158 new cases per day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the county’s community transmission level remains high.

Of the new cases, 131 are in children ages 0-12, and 76 are in residents ages 12-18, according to the Bucks County Health Department.

As of last Monday, there were 84 people with COVID being treated in Bucks County hospitals. At least 17 adults were in intensive care and seven on ventilators.

More than 4,200 people received a COVID vaccine in Bucks County during that time period. About 70 percent of the county’s eligible population (ages 12 and up) have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 62 percent are fully vaccinated.
