Wordsmiths Poetry Series continues Oct. 22

The public can hear readings by John Gallaher and Tyler Kline at Bucks County Community College


The 2021-22 Wordsmiths Poetry Series continues on Friday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Bucks County Community College with readings by John Gallaher and Tyler Kline, in Tyler Hall 142 on the Newtown Campus.

The readings will also be streamed via Zoom using the registration link here.

Poet and editor Gallaher earned a BA and MFA at Texas State University and a PhD at Ohio University. His poetry collections include Levis Poetry Prize-winner The Little Book of Guesses, Map of the Folded World, Your Father on the Train of Ghosts, the book-length essay-poem In a Landscape and Brand New Spacesuit. With Mary Biddinger, he edited The Monkey & The Wrench: Essays into Contemporary Poetics, and with Laura Boss, he edited Time Is a Toy: The Selected Poems of Michael Benedikt.

Gallaher is an associate professor at Northwest Missouri State University and has served as an editor for the Laurel Review and for the Akron Series in Contemporary Poetics. He lives in rural Missouri.

Kline is a high school English teacher and writer living in Pennsylvania. In 2015, he was named the Poet Laureate of Bucks County (judged by Martha Collins). His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Best New Poets, Nashville Review, Passages North and The Southeast Review. He is currently at work on his first collection of poems.
