The League of Women Voters of Bucks County is sponsoring two forums for local positions up for election this November.
The first, on Monday, Oct. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., is for the two candidates vying for the office of Bucks County District Attorney – incumbent District Attorney Matt Weintrab and Antonetta Stancu. The second, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., is for the two candidates competing to fill a judicial vacancy on the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas – Tiffany Thomas-Smith and Stephen Corr.
Each forum will be conducted by a trained league moderator. Candidates, moderators and some members of the press will meet in-person (respecting CDC guidelines). Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, there will be no live audience at either of these forums. The forums will be live-streamed on Facebook and will be recorded and posted, unedited, online on the League of Women Voters of Bucks County’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
While it’s not possible for the public to submit questions live during the forums, the League is inviting the public to submit questions for the candidates ahead of time. The League cannot guarantee that your question will be asked, but will read all the questions submitted for possible use. Information about how to submit questions is available at lwvbucks.org.
Candidate-provided information is available at Vote411.org. All candidates have been invited to provide information and upload it themselves.
