Penn Community Bank announced that Jacob Iampietro, senior vice president and director of banking, is a winner of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s inaugural Future Under 40 Awards. The awards recognize 10 industry leaders in banking, aged 40 and younger, who have made a tremendous impact in their institution, the community and the industry.

“Penn Community Bank joins Jake in celebrating this well-deserved recognition,” said Stephen Murphy, Penn Community Bank chief banking officer. “Throughout his time with the bank he has served as a leader and a mentor, working tirelessly to help our customers and communities thrive.”

“PA Bankers is pleased to honor the future leaders within the Pennsylvania banking industry through the Future Under 40 Awards,” said Duncan Campbell, PA Bankers’ president and CEO. “These individuals are the backbone of the industry and truly embody what it means to be a banker through their unwavering commitment to their customers and communities.”

With over 10 years in banking for large regional and community institutions, Iampietro has established a track record of retail banking success and effective leadership. In his role, he leads a team of 150 retail and small business bankers and relationship managers across the organization’s market.

Throughout his time at Penn Community Bank, Iampietro’s hard work has contributed to the development of best-in-class retail branch teams across more than 20 locations and the continued growth of consumer market share. One of his key accomplishments has been his leadership of the bank’s coordinated customer-facing response to the coronavirus pandemic, including serving as a driving force for the bank’s Paycheck Protection Program, and championing the health and safety of the frontline team members throughout the crisis.

Winners were honored at the association’s Young Professionals Conference on Sept. 20 at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center in Hershey.
