The Grundy Library invites the public to learn more about Bucks County native Henry Chapman Mercer during the live virtual event “Henry Chapman Mercer: A Legacy Built in Concrete” on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m., with Karina Kowalski, education coordinator of the Mercer Museum.
During this 60-minute multimedia Zoom event, see film clips, historic archives and modern-day images of Mercer’s poured concrete castle, learn about Mercer’s architectural, archaeological and artistic endeavors, and more. This event is a great introduction to one of Bucks County’s premiere cultural attractions and Smithsonian affiliate, located in nearby Doylestown.
Furthermore, local history enthusiasts and program participants can ask questions about the Mercer Museum, its founder, his legacy and a bonfire once lit atop Fonthill in celebration.
Registration is required at grundylibrary.org or 215-788-7891.
