The Township Library of Lower Southampton, 1983 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville, announced the following events:
Grab and Go Kits for Kids and Teens: Stop by the library to pick up a new activity or craft every week this summer. This week’s kits are Minecraft Torch Light-Up Circuit for all ages.
Fab Lab: Join on July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon. No registration needed. Drop in for STEAM activities in the library parking lot. This is a hands-on event for grades K-8.
Tai Chi: Join outside on July 28, at 11 a.m., in the ballfield by the library. This is a gentle way to exercise, stretch and meditate. Chairs are available upon request. Spaces are limited, so register to secure a spot for each date. Register online or by phone.
Grab and Go Kits for Adults: Stop by the library to pick up this week’s new activity, DIY Sprouting.
Family Yoga: Get out and moving with Jana Gunby, of Heartwell Yoga, on July 29, at 11:30 a.m. The class will be socially distanced outside on the baseball field next to the library. Recommended for ages 3-10 with their adult. Registration required.
Minecraft Makers: This takes place on July 29, at 4:30 p.m. for grades 1-4, and at 6:30 p.m. for grades 5-8. Sign up for the library’s Minecraft Realms server and join each week to hang out with friends and build. Join the library Discord server to voice chat with friends as you play. Joining Discord is optional. The library uses the Bedrock edition, which is compatible with Windows 10, mobile devices, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
Barks and Books: Join on July 31 at 10:30 a.m. Lucy the dog will be back visiting and she wants you to come read a story to her. Visit her special reading spot on the benches outside the front door.
Community Scavenger Hunt Continues: Pick up an activity sheet at the library or download one off the website and go explore Feasterville. Once you get all the letters, unscramble the mystery word and hand in your form to the library for a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card.
Summer Quest: Join for the annual celebration of summer reading and hands-on activities. Pick up your Summer Quest bag and begin reading and tracking your completed quests. Participants are entered to win prizes. Keep track online at lowersouthamptonlibrary.beanstack.org.
