The Township Library of Lower Southampton, 1983 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville, announced the following events:
Grab and Go Kits for Kids and Teens: Stop by the library to pick up a new activity or craft every week this summer. The kits for the week of July 12 are DIY Musical Instruments (K-4) and DIY Neon Light (5-8).
Tai Chi: Join on July 14, at 11 a.m., outside in the ballfield by the library. This is a gentle way to exercise, stretch and meditate. Chairs are available upon request. Spaces are limited. Register online or by phone.
Family Yoga: Get out and moving with Jana Gunby, of Heartwell Yoga, on July 15, at 11:30 a.m. This class will be socially distanced outside on the baseball field next to the library. Recommended for ages 3-10 with their adult.
Minecraft Makers: This takes place on July 15, at 4:30 p.m. for grades 1-4, and at 6:30 p.m. for grades 5-8. Sign up for the library’s Minecraft Realms server and join each week to hang out with friends and build. Join the library’s Discord server to voice chat with friends as you play. Joining Discord is optional. The library uses the Bedrock edition, which is compatible with Windows 10, mobile devices, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
Transforming Your Life – The Four Agreements: This webinar on July 15, at 6:30 p.m., provides a roadmap to comprehending the necessity of waking up and rising out of the fog, and thus becoming conscious in our thoughts and actions. Topics include being impeccable with your word, not taking anything personally, not making assumptions, and always doing your best, aka “The Four Agreements.”
Barks and Books: On July 17, at 10:30 a.m., Lucy the dog will be back visiting, and she wants you to come read a story to her. Visit Lucy’s special reading spot on the benches right outside the front door.
Community Scavenger Hunt Continues: Pick up an activity sheet at the library or download one off of the website and go explore Feasterville. Grab a group of family or friends to join. Once you get all the letters, unscramble the Mystery Word and hand in your form to the library for a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card.
Summer Quest: Join for the annual celebration of summer reading and hands-on activities. Pick up a Summer Quest bag and begin reading and tracking your completed quests. Participants are entered to win prizes. Keep track online at lowersouthamptonlibrary.beanstack.org.
