Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship and the Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship and the Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award.

“I’m proud to be one of the few members of Congress to receive both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award and the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship,” Fitzpatrick said. “Our country needs bipartisan leadership now more than ever. Americans are counting on it.”

The Jefferson-Hamilton Award is presented to the top senators and representatives from each party, based on the number of bills — except those formally opposed by the Chamber — a member cosponsors introduced by a member of the opposite party. Fitzpatrick was one of three congressmen who earned a perfect score of 100%.

The Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award recognizes members of Congress from both sides of the aisle based on their cosponsorship of legislation important to the business community. This recognition is presented to the top senators and representatives from both parties. Fitzpatrick earned a score of 98% for this award.
