In “normal” times, fine art students in grades K-12 in the Centennial School District showcase their projects at Showcase Night. This year, due to COVID-19, the standout pieces are being showcased online here.

According to staff of the Art Department, participation in the visual arts is “fundamental to educate learners for a society that is literate, imaginative, competent and creative.” They added that art “addresses the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of students.” Additionally, the arts “support wellness, bridge the disconnect of social distancing and increase critical thinking.”

Students hope their pieces generate positivity and hope during COVID-19.
