Bucks County Audubon Society, 2877 Creamery Road in New Hope, announced the following events for June:
Raptor Run 5K & Family Fun Run: On June 2, at 6:30 p.m. (Family Fun Run) and 7 p.m. (5K), get ready to race through BCAS’ forests, fields, stream sides and meadows, or bring your whole family to participate in the mile-long Family Fun Run. Virtual options are available for the first time. Come any time during the month of June and submit your times online at BCAS.org. Race registration is $25 for members; $30 for non-members. After the race, enjoy an after-party filled with food, beer and fun.
Wildflower Arrangement Workshop: Join Marissa for “The Art of Ecology” on June 11, at 6:30 p.m., as she guides participants around BCAS to search for and identify local wildflowers that do well in arrangements. She will also instruct about wildflower picking etiquette and how to avoid harvesting native species that require extra care. Each participant will bring home one floral arrangement. Flowers, materials and vase provided. Event is BYOB. Admission is $25 per person. A portion of proceeds is donated back to Bucks Audubon and benefits its environmental education programming. Register at TheArtofEcology.com/shop. For more information, contact [email protected].
iNaturalist Ultimate Scavenger Hunt: Bring the entire family out for a day of exploring the flora and fauna of BCAS. Using the iNaturalist app, participants will learn to identify fungi, plants and animals on the property while checking off sightings in this competitive game for any age. Visit inaturalist.org to download the app and discover different species of birds and critters on the trails. Join BCAS on June 12, at 2 p.m. to experience the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt. Admission is $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Register online.
