The Feasterville Business Association’s 30th annual charity golf outing is set for Monday, July 12, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Spring Mill Country Club, 80 Jacksonville Road, Ivyland. The public is invited to participate, and entries are now being accepted.
The day of golf will include food and spirits, a hole-in-one car contest, closest to the hole and longest drive competitions, a complimentary individual gift, awards and door prizes, plus appearances by local sports celebrities.
“Once again this year, we are anticipating a sellout, so I encourage all interested golfers to register early,” said Ed Shannon, golf committee chairperson.
Since its inception, the FBA charity golf outing has raised more than $300,000 for college scholarships, the annual Easter egg hunt, holiday food baskets for needy families and a host of communal and charitable endeavors. Recipients have included Special Equestrians, A Woman’s Place, Friends of the Lower Southampton Library, Libertae, Neshaminy Activities Center, Network of Victim Assistance, Council of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Playwicki Farm Foundation, Lower Southampton Athletic Association, Sean/Me and the Sunshine Foundation, among others.
Payroll Service Solutions is the prime sponsor for this year’s outing. Other sponsorship opportunities are available to area businesses and private individuals ranging from $100 for an individual hole sponsorship to $1,500 for the cart sponsorship.
Cost for individual golfers is $200 and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, buffet lunch and awards dinner, snacks and refreshments on the course, plus fun and camaraderie. Checks should be made payable to the FBA and mailed to Tracy Freels, 538 E. Myrtle Ave., Trevose, PA 19053.
