Lenape Valley Foundation is offering a free virtual workshop focused on the transition to adulthood and navigating services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. The workshop takes place on Thursday, May 27, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
This one-hour session, led by Sara Gabbianelli, LVF’s director of ID services, and Evan Salom, LVF’s assistant director of ID services, will be helpful for parents and caregivers of teens and young adults who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. The workshop will focus on addressing issues that affect individuals ages 14 to 21 by discussing how to prepare for life after graduation, including developing job skills, independent living skills and volunteering. Funding options, eligibility requirements and services that are available will also be discussed.
The workshop is free, but registration is required to receive the Zoom link and information. To register, visit lenapevf.org/freeworkshops.
