Bucks Beautiful’s annual Garden Tour returns

Explore six hidden jewels in Doylestown on June 13

Bucks Beautiful is hosting its annual Garden Tour on Sunday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit six hidden jewels that have never been publicly shown. Wear comfortable shoes on this tour throughout Doylestown’s charming streets as three gardens are within walking distance from one another, and three are a short drive from town.

The inspiring mix of gardens selected ranges from a quaint cottage to a historic estate. Bucks County Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer expertise as attendees peruse specimen trees, beloved perennials, colorful annuals, container succulents, ponds, water features and vegetable gardens. Most properties feature dining areas that will be adorned with fresh flower arrangements courtesy of local florists.

Brett King, certified remodeler, and his client have invited attendees to view a recent estate renovation and to stroll around the expansive landscaped property. This rare opportunity to walk through this residence will be a special addition to the tour.

Gatekeepers will be stationed at each property to ensure that masks are worn and social distancing protocols are met. Early birds will receive discounted ticket prices of $30 through May 31. After this date, tickets will be $35. Included with purchase is a booklet with maps, photos and descriptions of each garden, plus a garden bag filled with gifts for the first 400 guests.

Free tickets are available to Bucks Beautiful charter members, who also receive exclusive access from 10 to 11 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the reforestation initiative RePlant Bucks, the Bulbs for Bucks daffodil displays, educational programs, community garden projects and memorial plantings.

Tickets and memberships can be purchased online at bucksbeautiful.org or by phone at 215-340-3639. Tickets will also be available at the following locations:

– Bucks County Gardens, 1057 N. Easton Road, Doylestown
– The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S. Main Street, Doylestown
– Blue Violet Flowers & Gifts, 1345 Easton Road, Warrington
