Thanks to the efforts of Lower Southampton’s Ed Shannon, the Lower Southampton Independence Day Parade and celebration will return to Feasterville with all of it’s pageantry, color, music and excitement on Monday, July 5, beginning at 1 p.m. The public is invited free of charge. Last year’s celebration was canceled because of the pandemic health emergency.
Shannon, a Feasterville resident for more than 37 years, has served as a co-chairman and emcee for the July 4 parade and celebration for the past several years. He lobbied tirelessly to revive the parade saluting Independence Day in 2021 and won his case for the benefit of all township residents.
“I’m thrilled and excited to be able to bring this wonderful public event back to our township for everyone to enjoy,” he said.
CDC guidelines will be followed.
