Bensalem Township is hosting an electronic recycling event May 10-14, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to noon; at Public Works, 3800 Hulmeville Road.
Bensalem residents only; no commercial businesses. Must show identification. The goal of the event is to create an e-waste-free environment.
Accepted items include: desktop and laptop computers, keyboards and mice, printers/fax machines, cables and cords, cell phone and laptop batteries, calculators and adding machines, audio visual equipment, UPS battery backups, toner and ink cartridges, telephones and cell phones (please remove cell phone batteries), DVD players and VCRs, string Christmas lights, microwaves and small appliances, gaming systems, televisions, console stereos, metal items, CRT monitors and LCD monitors.
Items not accepted include: household batteries, car batteries, light bulbs, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, and household hazardous waste, including paint, pool chemicals and cleaning products.
