The Congressional Fire Services Institute announced that Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania will serve as a co-chairman for the Congressional Fire Services Caucus.
“It is an honor to be named a co-chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus. This bipartisan group of legislators aims to support and address the needs of our nation’s brave and selfless firefighters and those in emergency services,” Fitzpatrick said. “I have always been and will continue to be a fervent supporter of our hero men and women who risk their lives each day for our communities across the country. I am grateful for the opportunity to act as their voice in Congress and look forward to continuing the bipartisan efforts of this caucus.”
Formed in 1987, the Congressional Fire Services Caucus was established to educate members of Congress about the role of fire and emergency services in protecting communities. The Fire Caucus was created to be a bipartisan group where Republicans and Democrats could work together to learn about the nation’s fire and emergency services, improve the readiness of local first responders, and jointly recognize their valor and dedication.
