Bucks County Community College’s “Big Laughs on Campus” live, online comedy series continues Thursday, April 15, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Hosted by comedy veteran Marc Kaye, the series features nationally-known comedians now headlining directly from their couches, kitchens or living rooms. Tickets are free, but donations are suggested to the Bucks County Community College Foundation to help Bucks students.
Brought by the Bucks Live! cultural series, the next event features comedians Chip Chantry with Jared Bilski. This performance is for mature audiences only.
Chantry is a stand-up comedian and television writer. He has written for Crazy Talk, a comedy/talk series for NBC Universal, and the syndicated series Whacked Out Sports. He most recently wrote on the NatGeo series Howie Mandel’s Animals Doing Things. Chantry was the winner of 2013’s Philly’s Phunniest Contest at Helium Comedy Club, where he was a regular performer. He also won the Funniest Comedian award in Philadelphia’s annual Comedy Awards, both in 2012 and 2014, and was named Best Comedian 2018 by Philadelphia Magazine. Chantry is a recurring guest on the Doug Loves Movies and Todd Glass Show podcasts.
Bilski has performed at every local bar, firehouse, social club and bowling alley that decided to put together a comedy night, and has opened for national headliners like Craig Shoemaker, Jim Breuer, Robert Kelly and Adam Ferrara.
Although tickets to access the online event are free, donations are encouraged to the BCCC Foundation’s Fighting Food Insecurity Fund, established to help Bucks students with groceries and other needed essentials. Go to tinyurl.com/DonateBucks to make a donation. Under “Area of Support,” select “Fighting Food Insecurity Fund” from the drop-down menu.
Free tickets for the live, online event must be reserved at bucks.edu/tickets. A link to view the performance will be sent by email after registration.
