The Middletown Township Police Department was successfully reaccredited through December 2023 by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission, one of the highest achievements available to police departments. A police department with the PLEAC accreditation means they exhibit the best practices and standards in law enforcement.
This is MTPD’s fourth accreditation by PLEAC. Upon receiving one more accreditation in three years, MTPD will be considered a tenured accredited police department, reflective of MTPD’s long-term commitment to excellence in law enforcement.
“This accreditation confirms what our residents have known all along,” said Middletown Township board of supervisors chairperson Tom Tosti. “MTPD is one of the best law enforcement agencies in the county.”
Officers Megan Freer and Melissa Robinson, Sergeant Bob Weber, Lieutenant Ken Mellus, Captain Pete Feeney and Chief Joe Bartorilla were instrumental in helping the department reach this high mark.
