Middletown Township earns 17th financial report award

The township was recognized for the eighth consecutive year by the Government Financial Officers Association

This month, Middletown Township received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Financial Officers Association for its 2019 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. This award is the township’s eighth consecutive and 17th lifetime CAFR award. The township completes a financial report each year after the end of the fiscal year.

“Middletown remains committed to financial transparency,” said Middletown Township board of supervisors vice chairperson Anna Payne. “We are proud of the continued great work of our finance staff to carrying out this commitment.”

The township’s finance staff is currently working to complete the 2020 CAFR in line with the GFOA’s award standards.
