Local fire companies receive funding

Grants are going to Parkland and Langhorne-Middletown

Middletown Township received four grants from the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority Municipal Grant Program to purchase public safety vehicles and equipment, and improve a fire station.

The township received grants for police and public works vehicles totaling $274,093. Two additional grants submitted by the township were awarded to the Parkland Fire Company and the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company in the amount of $194,883 for a fire station generator and breathing equipment. The township’s applications brought in a total of $468,976 to local first responder agencies.

The Municipal Grant Program provides funding to communities in Lower Bucks County each year for projects to improve public safety and infrastructure. Funds from the grant program are generated by Parx Casino in Bensalem Township. The 2021 Municipal Grant Program awarded a total of $2,780,361 to Middletown Township and the surrounding communities.
