Middletown Township offers Young Rembrandts online programming

The virtual program teaches drawing through a step-by-step curriculum

Middletown Township Parks & Recreation is offering online art programs through Young Rembrandts, which teaches drawing – the fundamental skill of all visual arts. The unique, proven method and step-by-step curriculum fosters skills such as fine motor skills, handwriting readiness and attention to detail.

The YR method and curriculum is offered in an online, on-demand format, which allows children to draw when it’s most convenient for them and their families. Children may need some help to log into the class, but after that, they are able to participate in the class with little to no assistance. Each lesson can be viewed up to five times, and students can pause or rewind the video as needed to get the most out of each lesson.

The weekly lessons will be delivered to your email inbox each Tuesday by 3 p.m. However, children can draw and be creative when they want to be. Lessons expire only when maximum views are reached.

Cost is $90. Young Rembrandts runs Tuesdays, March 2-April 20.
