“We are always looking for innovative and imaginative ways to spread the word about our services,” said Rachel Kurtz, BBBSBC’s CEO. “There are still several children waiting to be matched in Bucks County, a majority of which are boys. Any funds raised during the golf outing will help our staff recruit more mentors, interview more potential Bigs and Littles, and support our goal that all youth achieve their full potential. It truly is a golf for kids’ sake.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County has been providing children facing adversity with professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships for 56 years. Affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Bucks County agency has been nationally recognized for providing high quality programs. Located in Jamison, BBBSBC is a donor supported, volunteer driven organization dedicated to helping Bucks County youth achieve success. Children matched with mentors gain self confidence, are less likely to engage in risky behaviors, such as using alcohol and drugs, and create higher goals for their future. There are several kids on the waiting list, and 70 percent are boys. Visit bbbsbc.org or call 215-343-8260 for more information.
