Silver Lake Nature Center, located at 1306 Bath Road, Bristol, announced the following events for the month of February:

Volunteer Work Day takes place Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. Help SLNC maintain its grounds. Be prepared to get wet and dirty. Bring a refillable water bottle. This event is rain or shine. Register online or by calling Arden Williams at 215-785-1177.

Free Guided Walk on the SLNC Trails takes place Sundays, Feb. 7 and 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. Join for this leisurely and informative walk covering seasonal topics. Meet outside of the Visitors’ Center at the kiosk near the parking area. Register online, by phone or at the Visitors’ Center.

Earthship Tours take place Saturday, Feb. 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Free. The Earthship will be open to the public. Stop by to visit and learn about these interesting, sustainable structures.

Bird Seed Sale Pick-up (for orders placed by Feb. 13) takes place Saturday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bird watching is more fun when you can attract them to your own yard, so fill your feeders with one of SLNC’s special mixes. Friends of SLNC Members receive a 10 percent discount on all bird seed orders. Place your order by phone or online.

Day-off from School Camp takes place Monday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Why only have camp in the summer when you can do it in all seasons? School Camp is scheduled for days when most schools are off. Each day provides exciting seasonal adventures for children ages 5-14. Staff and campers spend the days exploring the forest, swamps and marsh in all weather. Additional dates are April 1 and 2, and May 18. Cost is $60/child per day for Friends of SLNC Members; $75/child per day for non-members. Full payment is required at time of registration. Contact camp director Cameron Calista at 267-880-5024 or v-cecalista@buckscounty.org with questions. Register online.

Registration is now open for SLNC’s Summer Nature Camp, which runs from Monday, June 21-Friday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for children ages 5-14. Before/after care options available. All 10 weeks sold out in 2020, so those interested are encouraged to sign up soon. Contact camp director Cameron Calista at 267-880-5024 or v-cecalista@buckscounty.org with questions. Register online.

Trails at SLNC are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
