Penn Community Bank named Falesha Grasty as the organization’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. Grasty (AVP, senior staff accountant) will champion Penn Community Bank’s short- and long-term DE&I initiatives throughout the organization.

“Our culture values openness, collaboration and authenticity. We are thrilled to have Falesha officially launch this vital new role,” said Georgann Berger McKenna, EVP, chief human resources officer. “Not only will this position help Penn Community Bank identify goals and track success for this important initiative, it provides our organization, our team members, and our board of directors the opportunity to dig deeper and better understand this important topic.”

“Encouraging diversity of experience and fostering a sense of inclusion is critical in any organization, but especially in financial services,” said Grasty. “Penn Community Bank understands the importance of leveraging the strength and diversity and inclusion, and the value of acting proactively.”

In addition to leading a team member DE&I committee, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer will work hand-in-hand with an interdepartmental DE&I advisory committee of seniors leaders, including: Jeane Vidoni, president and chief executive officer; Berger McKenna; Robert Coffin, EVP, chief lending officer; Bernard Tynes, SVP, director of marketing; Rick Battaglia, SVP, business development officer; Sandra Ziegler, VP, director of training, development and education; and Kirsten Palmieri, VP, HR business partner.
