Network of Victim Assistance announced that Grace Wheeler has been promoted to director of prevention & training. Wheeler previously served as NOVA’s county coordinator for the Safe and Healthy Communities Initiative. Prior to joining NOVA, Wheeler was the program coordinator at The Peace Center in Langhorne.
Wheeler provides leadership for prevention and training programs to children, youth, community members and professionals who work with young people. She leads the prevention and training team with strategic development and implementation of prevention and training goals and strategies.
Wheeler has a master of arts degree in international peace and conflict resolution from Arcadia University and a dual bachelor of arts degree in international/global studies and anthropology from the State University of New York College at Cortland. She is a certified mediator in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a certified facilitator in multiple trainings, including: Stewards of Children, Safe Touches, and Healing and Rebuilding Our Communities. Additionally, Wheeler has worked in conflict zones such as Rwanda, Northern Ireland and Sierra Leone.
“Grace has done great things throughout her career and we are very pleased that she is now the director of education and prevention,” said Mandy Mundy, associate director of NOVA. “I am confident that Grace’s skills, style and experience will serve NOVA’s prevention department well in working to advance abuse, assault and harassment prevention and training efforts in Bucks County.”
