Enjoy bird-related art projects and make Valentines for veterans

Source: Fallsington Library

Fallsington Library, 139 Yardley Ave., Fallsington, remains open for curbside pickup only, but announced a number of activities to complete safely at home.

Beginning Jan. 19, discover the birds of our winter world with fun science and art grab-and-go projects. Make snow bird ornaments and bird feeders, color a snow bird field guide, and decorate your own mini binoculars. Then, go look for snow birds in your own yard or neighborhood. The grab-and-go kit contains most of the materials needed, except tacky glue, markers or crayons, and peanut or sunflower seed butter. Free. For all ages. While supplies last (there are 60 kits). Kids will need an adult’s help with the projects. For curbside pickup, call 215-295-4449 when you arrive at the library, and a staff member will run your kits out to your trunk.

Additionally, help brighten a veteran’s day by showing your appreciation with a homemade card. Make a card at home, bring it to the library’s book return (at the bottom of the ramp), and staff members will make sure the cards get to veterans in local nursing homes and assisted living centers. Drop off cards by Thursday, Feb. 11.
