Former Middletown Township manager John Burke passes away

The 74-year-old lost his long battle with cancer

Former township manager and long-time resident of Middletown Township John Burke passed away on Dec. 4, at the age of 74, after a long battle with cancer. Burke served the township faithfully for 20 years from June 11, 1984 until March 14, 2004. He was instrumental in countless projects during his time with the township as the community developed in the 1980s and 1990s.

“John was a long-time manager who had a significant impact on the staff and the community at large,” said Middletown Township board of supervisors chairman Mike Ksiazek. “Middletown has lost a true gentleman and a dedicated public servant.”
