Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Township Library of Lower Southampton building is closed to the public, but services will continue from a distance.
Curbside pickup continues, and hours have been expanded to Monday-Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Continue to return your books to the outside book drop so they can go into quarantine. They will be there for 5-7 days before they are checked in and taken off your account. At the end of the quarantine period, items will be backdated and those fines will then drop off your account. Do not renew the items if you returned them. This will cause fines on the quarantine days that will not drop off when staff checks them in.
If the item is too big to fit in the book drop, call the library at 215-355-1183 to make arrangements.
Book donations are not being accepted at this time. However, you may drop off toy donations in the box outside the library during daytime curbside hours.
Programs will continue virtually.
If you need help choosing books for your kids, try the new Book Bundle service. Fill out the form online, and the library will create a bag of five surprise books for curbside pickup. There’s also the Browsing Bag service for adults. Staff will pick three items, which can be picked up curbside.
