Bucks County Community College is presenting “Rebecca Robbins: Oscar Songbook,” a free online concert, on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
From timeless classics to contemporary hits, the performance features 15 Oscar-winning songs sung by Broadway’s Rebecca Robbins. Along with her insightful film commentary and personal stories, viewers will hear Academy Award-winning songs from films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Never On Sunday, Holiday Inn, Working Girl, Lord of the Rings, Skyfall and more. There will be a live talk after the virtual performance.
Robbins is a singer, actress and cancer survivor. Hailed by critics as a “beguiling songstress,” she has become known for her “virtuoso resourcefulness” in creating characters with “great charisma and nuance,” not only on the theater stage, but in concert, as well. Robbins was part of the national touring cast for Phantom of the Opera and played Paulette in Legally Blonde at the Bristol Riverside Theatre and Walnut Street Theatre for a total of 105 performances.
