Since its two annual fundraisers (Jazz on the River and the Bristol Fall Classic) were canceled due to COVID-19, the Academic Oversight Committee is hosting its first-ever No-Go Bristol Fall Classic Raffle.
Proceeds benefit Bristol Borough’s public and parochial schools, providing funding for many educational requirements, including a growing need for wireless hotspots. This would provide additional access points in homes to ensure students are connected to their classrooms and teachers. Examples of other programs funded by the AOC include the virtual Writers’ Voice Workshop and Microsoft Certification Program, plus continuous academic remediation, which is being delivered virtually.
Raffle tickets are $75 each, with the chance to win one of three cash prizes – $1,000, $2,000 and $5,000. Tickets are available for purchase here through Sunday, Dec. 6. Winning tickets will be drawn on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The exact time and media platform to view the live drawing will be forthcoming. Winners will also be contacted via phone/email.
