Annual Fall Flushing set for this week in Northampton Township

Residents may notice discoloration in the water or reduced pressure for short durations

The Annual Fall Flushing of Fire Hydrants and Water Mains is taking place in Northampton Township through Friday, Oct. 23.

During this period, customers may notice discoloration in the water or reduced pressure. This should be of short duration. Customers are advised to minimize water usage for drinking, cooking and clothes washing while flushing is in progress on these days between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you experience discolored water, run cold water from a faucet for several minutes until the water runs clear. If discolored water or low pressure persists or if you have questions, call the Municipal Authority office at 215-357-8515.
