‘Big Laughs on Campus’ continues to help Bucks students

The virtual comedy series continues Nov. 19; tickets are free with donations encouraged for Bucks County Community College Foundation fundraisers for students

Coccia

Bucks County Community College’s “Big Laughs on Campus” live monthly virtual comedy series continues on Nov. 19, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., and features comedians Chris Coccia and Mahesh Kotagi.

Coccia, a frequent guest on several Philadelphia radio shows, works everywhere from the country’s top comedy clubs to corporate events to colleges. He’s a past winner of the Purina Pet Comedy Challenge, a national event with a $10,000 prize, and has appeared on Comedy Central, The Game Show Network, and XM Radio.

Kotagi can be spotted in comedy clubs in both New York City and Los Angeles. He was voted “best of the fest” at the 2019 Burbank Comedy Festival, and recently appeared at the Red Clay, San Luis Obispo, and San Diego comedy festivals. Kotagi also co-hosts a podcast called “No More Tokens!” about diversity and inclusion in Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

Hosted by comedy veteran Marc Kaye, “Big Laughs on Campus” features nationally touring comedians who are now headlining directly from their couches, kitchens or living rooms, every Thursday through December. Tickets are free, but donations are suggested to benefit various fundraising campaigns by the Bucks County Community College Foundation to help Bucks students.

For November, donations are accepted for the college’s Gateway to Economic Self-Sufficiency scholarship, a collaborative student support effort between the college and the Bucks County Opportunity Council. Go to tinyurl.com/DonateBucks to make a donation.

Free tickets for the online event must be reserved at bucks.edu/tickets. A link to view the performance will be sent by email after registration. Visit bucks.edu/foundation for more information.
