Bioblitz: Using the iNaturalist app, participants will help Bucks County Audubon Society to identify fungi, plants and animals on its property. Visit inaturalist.org to download the app and discover different species of birds and critters on the trails. Join BCAS between Oct. 18-24 anytime between dawn and dusk to experience a socially distant BioBlitz. Registration is free, but donations are welcome to support environmental education programs. Register online at BCAS.org for the week-long event.
Haunted Trails Driving Tour: Members of BCAS staff will dress up in costume as local plants and animals along the jack-o-lantern-lit trails. Join on Oct. 16 and 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., to experience the Haunted Trails. Participants do not have to exit their cars. Time slots are available every 10 minutes and the last call is at 7:30 p.m. to ensure everyone gets through. Call for donations. Due to COVID-19, BCAS is unable to host its usual Pumpkin Carving event, but still needs the public’s amazing creations. To have your carved pumpkin included in the event, drop them off at the center. You may pick up your pumpkin after the event on Oct. 18. Admission is $15/members, $25 for non-members, per carload. All participants must arrive during the designated time slots.
